With diverse experiences, styles and backgrounds the founders of Alpha Lambda Chi, formed a bond through a shared experience in pageantry an d have endeavored to share that love with a community of exceptional, unique and like-minded sisters of all, shapes, sizes and colors.
Introducing the Co-Founders:
Shamone Garcia is one of the Co-Founders of Alpha Lambda Chi Sorority, Inc. Shamone is the former Ms. Plus America Elite 2023, a plus-sized model and distinguished pageant queen. She resides in the home of the original "Fighting Gamecock," Sumter, South Carolina. Shamone began her pageantry journey, which is her passion, during the pandemic while working as a probation officer within the Criminal Justice System. She is the founder and owner of Be U Queen. Shamone's personality, passion, and energy cause everyone to feel like they are a "winner" even without a crown.
Cherita Williams is one of the visionary Co-Founders of Alpha Lambda Chi Sorority, Inc. She is the former Ms. National Sorority Pageant 2023-24 as well as Ms. South Carolina Plus America 2022-2023 Ms. Williams is the founder and National Director of Authentique Beauties National Pageant and is an author, educator as well as a serial entrepreneur with several businesses including Brighter Minds Learning.
Serena Metayer is one of the Co-Founders of Alpha Lambda Chi Sorority, Inc., and the former Ms. Plus America 2022. As a Registered Nurse specializing in mental health, she is passionate about pageantry, modeling, and mental health advocacy.
